Tina es una ternera que en el mundo de la tauromaquia la denominan vaquilla de lidia. Ella fue rescatada por Santuario Gaia de una finca en Castellón (Valencia) donde organizaban capeas ilegales con ella, con tan solo unos meses de vida.
En sus primeros días en el Santuario tenía mucho miedo de los humanos, ya que lo único que había recibido de ellos era dolor y maltrato. Le faltan la mitad de sus dientes por los golpes que recibía para divertirse con ella.
Samuel es un toro que fue rescatado de la industria láctea cuando tenía tan solo unos días de vida, su destino era el matadero, como ocurre con todos los machos que nacen en esta industria. Las vacas son inseminadas artificialmente cada año para que tengan un bebé y así poder producir leche que sea vendida a los humanos.
Tina y Samuel se quieren mucho, él desde el día que ella llegó ha cuidado de ella, protegiéndola y mimándola. Han creado un vínculo tan fuerte que no se separan nunca.

Tina is a calf considered a heifer in bullfighting terms. She was rescued from a rural estate in Castellón (Valencia Autonomous Community) where she was being used for illegal bullfights in spite she was just a few months old.
She was very scared of humans when she arrived at the Sanctuary. She had only known pain and abuse from them. Half of ther teeth are missing due to the blows she received when she was used for entertainment.
Samuel is a bull rescued from the dairy industry when he was just a few days old. His fate was the slaughterhouse as it happens to all males born within this industry. Cows are artificially impregnated every year so that they can have babies and produce milk which will be sold to humans.
Tina and Samuel love each other a lot. He’s been looking after her since the moment she arrived, protecting and cuddling her at all times. They have developed a very strong bond and they will remain always together.
