Hace unas semanas nos avisaron que había una oveja abandonada desde hacía casi un año y a la que habían mordido unos perros.
Como no hay ninguna normativa aún para Santuarios y nos tenemos que regir por las de ganadería, no nos permiten traernos directamente a los animales que necesitan ayuda sin antes hacerles una serie de pruebas, cuyos resultados tardan más de una semana en llegar. Este ha sido el caso de Silvia.
En cuanto nos dieron el aviso nos pusimos en contacto con ganadería para que le hicieran las analíticas y así poderla traer al Santuario. Durante todo este tiempo la han estado cuidando unos okupas y desde hace unos días un nuevo refugio que se llama La Bona Vita. Durante todo este año ha estado refugiándose en una casa en ruinas llena de basura.
Gracias a los cuidados que ha recibido por estas personas de gran corazón se ha salvado de las graves heridas que tenía, y de las que le han quedado secuelas. Su pierna izquierda no la apoya bien y tiene problemas para caminar.
Las ovejas son animales que son muy familiares, por eso viven en rebaños. Ella ha estado durante todo un año sola y ahora por fin ha llegado a esta gran familia, donde la vamos a cuidar y mimar con todas nuestras fuerzas.

MEET SILVIA !!!
Few weeks ago we were informed about the case of a sheep who had been abandoned nearly a year ago and bitten by dogs.
There are no specific regulations for the Sanctuaries, therefore we are regulated under farming normatives. These regulations don’t allow us to rescue animals without testing them first for a series of illnesses. The results take over a week to arrive. This has been the case with Silvia.
As soon as were notified, we contacted the Farming Department to initiate the blood testing process and bring her to the Sanctuary. During this time she’s been looked after by some squatters, and has spent the past few days in a new shelter, La Bona Vita. During the past year, she’s been taking refuge in a derelict house full of rubbish.
Thanks to the care she’s received from these big-hearted people, she has recovered from the wounds she had although she cannot lean properly on her left hind leg and has some difficulties when walking.
Sheep are very gregarious animals, this is why they live in herds. She has spent the past year alone but now she has arrived to this big family and she’ll get lots of love and cuddles.
