El 1 de noviembre Día Mundial del Veganismo, lo celebramos en Santuario Gaia de la mejor manera que podíamos hacerlo: SALVANDO VIDAS.
Asunción y su hija Irene fueron abandonada en Alicante este verano, y unas personas con muy buen corazón las estuvieron atendiendo mientras le buscaban un hogar definitivo para ellas.
En Septiembre se pusieron en contacto con nosotros y comenzamos con todos los trámites legales para poderlas trasladar al Santuario.
Como estamos sin vehículo para poder realizar un viaje tan largo debido a que el todoterreno que compramos de segunda mano está en el taller y la furgoneta no está en buen estado, unos activistas se ofrecieron a hacer el viaje alquilando una furgoneta.
Ahora ya están en el Santuario donde estarán un tiempo en adaptación y cuarentena. Aún tienen mucho miedo pero poco a poco conseguiremos que se integren en esta gran familia, la familia Gaia.

MEET ASUNCIÓN AND IRENE !!!
Today, 1st November, Santuario Gaia celebrates International Vegan Day the best possible way we could: SAVING LIVES.
Asunción and her daughter Irene were abandoned in Alicante last summer. Some kind people had been looking after them until a permanent home for them both was found.
In September, they got in touch with us and the legal procedures to take them to the Sanctuary were started.
We didn’t have a suitable means of transport for such a long journey. The second hand 4×4 we recently bought is in the garage to be repaired, and our old van is in a terrible condition. Some animal rights activists volunteered to rent a van and make the journey.
Asunción and Irene are now in the Sanctuary and will spend the next few weeks in quarantine and adapting to their new home. They’re very scared but with time they will fully become integrated within this big family, the Gaia family.
