Pedro, Olga y Celia son los más pequeños de Santuario Gaia, y aunque ya comen de todo, seguimos dándole el biberón, como harían si tuvieran a su madre. En el Santuario han habido nacimientos de madres que llegaron embarazadas, y después de un año sus bebés aún siguen mamando de vez en cuando.
El trabajo del Santuario no es solo salvar sus vidas, sino el de ofrecerles todo el cariño que necesitan y ofrecerles una vida digna, lo más parecido a una vida en libertad. Y a los más pequeños, que fueron arrebatados de sus madres por la crueldad del humano, los tratamos como lo que son, nuestros hijos, dándole todo el amor que sus madres biológicas les darían, ofreciendo nuestras vidas al 100% por ellos.
Por todo esto y por mucho más, vamos a hacer todo lo posible por irnos de este lugar cuanto antes, y ofrecerles un espacio mucho más grande y seguro para ellos, ya que en breve nos vemos obligados a dejar el terreno donde estamos ahora.

Bottlefeeding the Sanctuary’s three babies.
Pedro, Olga and Celia are the youngest residents of Santuario Gaia. They already eat “adult food”, but we carry on bottlefeeding them as their biological mum would do. The Sanctuary has had births from mothers who were already pregnant when they arrived, and a year later their babies still breastfeed now and then.
The Sanctuary’s mission is not just saving their lives, but to offer them all the love they need as well as a decent life, what would be the most similar to a natural and free life. The youngest ones, who were taken away from their mums by human cruelty, we treat them as they are: our children, giving them all the love their biological mothers would, even giving our whole lives for them.
For all the above and much more, we’re going to do everything in our power to relocate as soon as possible, to offer them a much bigger and safer place. Soon we’ll have no choice but to leave the land we currently rent.
