Mari Carmen es una cabra que fue abandonada hace dos años embarazada. Cuando el cabrito nació y creció la dejó embarazada de nuevo. Acosados por los cazadores furtivos, el carnero desapareció.
Cuando nació su nuevo hijo, a los pocos días se lo quitaron para comérselo, y a ella la ataron con un cordón de zapato desde una extremidad delantera a la trasera, en un barranco impidiendo que se pudiera mover. El cordón poco a poco se le fue incrustando en la carne, lo que le ha seccionado los tendones. Además tiene nódulos en las mamas.
Desde hace unos días ya hemos comenzado a hacer las presentaciones con el resto de habitantes, para que pronto pueda convivir con ellos.
En breve tenemos que dejar los terrenos donde estamos, por lo que se quedan desprotegidos los 250 animales que aquí viven y nos impide ayudar a los casos que nos llegan cada día.

When her new son was born, he was taken away from her and slaughtered for food. She then had her front and back limbs tied together with a shoelace, left in a cliff unable to move. The shoelace eventually got embedded in the flesh, and this cut her tendons. She also developed nodules on her udders.
We started introductions with the other residents a few days ago, and hopefully soon she’ll be able to join them.
Soon we’ll have to leave the land we currently rent, making homeless the 250 animals who live here. We cannot either assist in the new cases of animals in need we receive daily.
