Today we had to remove the numbered identification tag from David’s ear.
We have noticed that he had developed a big infection on his ear as a result of wearing the tag, so we had no choice but to take it out to treat the area.
We’re required by the Department of Livestock to apply eartags to our animals, but no long ago we achieved its substitution for a microchip as a form of identification.
